Day 201/365

We had a going away party... saying good bye and good riddance.  

The kids came over and we ate, and laughed and ate some more... I LOVE carrot cake! Tomorrow it will be official. I decided I was not ready to have a 40th birthday, so instead I had a going away party :) My candles have been placed on my cake backwards since I was twenty three... We dance to the own beat of our own drum =)

Day 200/365

I went and visited my father today. I drove 33 miles and picked up Mist and her daughter. They kept me company the 56 miles to the cemetery. The flowers I gave him on memorial day where still there, so I replaced them with new ones...

I miss him regularly, there are moments its almost unbearable. Milestones are the hardest...

I'm thankful I didn't have to make the trip alone.

what a busy busy week. i am so ready for the week to end... giving me a whole new appreciation for the word weekend! i took a walk in the park. i have been trying to figure out my new lens... my pic of the day is a golden shot, in so many ways... :)

Day 196/365

This is the day AFTER the concert... The day I ran off VERY little sleep. The day that it was business as usual at work. The day my youngest got his wisdom teeth pulled. The day that clarity of my age is reinforced.... DANG IT :)

Day 195/365

The Kimpossible won some free concert tickets and guess who she called to go with her :). It was a great way to spend the last day of August... "bad trip Tuesday" is what Chris Robinson (from the Black Crowes) called it lol because "those are the ones you remember the most" (ain't that the truth!). He and the boys in the band played a little of this and that. I was bummed cause I really wanted them to play THIS! (dang it) I love love LOVE live music, and all the magic that happens when done right :). It was worth the drive and late night, and lack of sleep, and dealing with traffic! yup yup yup... so I didn't get any awesome pictures because they said NO CAMERAS not even pointy shoes... actually that is what we heard when the guy came out (point and shoot)... maybe it was pink shoes LMAO sheesh! ANYWHO I did get ONE picture from my black berry before the pitbulls that  patrolled the place said in a VERY stern voice "NO PICTURES PERIOD" lol.
